The Archaeological Museum is housed in a villa shaded by imposing cypress trees. The right wing contains objects found during excavations carried out in the town, as well as models of Augusta (the Roman name of Hisarja) in its heyday. Among the most interesting elements are the bust of Emperor Diocletian and a collection of amphorae. The left wing is devoted to ethnography. Note in particular some shepherds' costumes, fabrics and embroidery, a group of kukeri (characters of Bulgarian folk culture), ritual bread.
