The April Mausoleum, dedicated to the many citizens who died for the liberation of the country, stands in the centre of the 20-April square facing the river. It consists of a pyramid-shaped ossuary surmounted by a chapel topped by a dome and a cross. Also overlooking the square are the head office of Koprivštica's museums and a fine group of traditional houses with colourful façades and corbelled upper storeys. If you wish to do some shopping, you will find hawkers (souvenirs, sweets and handicraft) gathered on the square.
