Hadži-Nenco-Palaveev Street offers a pleasant stroll along the river. Opposite, the old town rises in terraces. On the left stand fine old houses, some of them turned into restaurants (Djado Liben) or hotels (Kalina). N° 15 is the Ljuben-Karavelov House-museum. Consisting of two small houses, it was the birthplace of Ljuben and Petko Karavelov, who were respectively the leader of the national liberation movement and the co-founder of the new State inherited from the heroes.
