St-Marina's Church looks quite attractive with its gallery painted in the alafranga style and its vaulting decorated with paintings. Built in 1835-36 by the architect Nikola Ustabašijski, it features three naves, a dome and a six-storey wooden tower added after the country was liberated. The superb interior has retained a fine iconostasis in carved wood (1821-25), icons painted by acknowledged masters (Zahari Zograf, Stanislav Dospevski, Nikola Odrincanin, Dimitar Stanišev) and murals painted in 1932 by Haralambi Tacev.
