Tsar-Simeon's Gardens were designed in 1892 by a Swiss landscape gardener, Lucien Chevalas, as the setting of an international architecture exhibition. Today, the well-looked-after park includes alleyways shaded by ancient trees, flowerbeds, sculptures and a fountain. Playgrounds with swings attract children. A large artificial lake, located in the part of the park furthest away from the central square, offers the possibility to do canoeing or just relax on the shores or at an outdoor café.
