Situated near the Ottoman market (bezisten), Tombul Mosque (1744) is considered to be the largest mosque in the Balkans. It includes a primary school, a coranic school and a library. Surmounted by a fine cupola, it features a classical architectural style close to the aesthetic principles of Anatolia. Before leaving, note, above the main door, the first verses of the Coran written in Latin script.
