Apolonija Street is a shopping street and one of the three main thoroughfares of the old town. It boasts a harmonious group of ancient houses, their front faced with wooden planks. The lower parts of a few columns and sections of walls located in a small public garden, recall the ancient past of Sozopol. Along the street, you will also see St-George's Church (Sv. Georgi). Built on the foundations of a vast palaeo-Christian basilica, demolished by the Turks in the 15C, it contains a fine carved pulpit and Byzantine-style icons.
