A lake inhabited by swans, a multitude of white birds and, in the background, the Strandža mountains: this is Ropotamo National Park. It can be explored in two ways. A discovery trail (signposts in English) reached from a parking area, located between Djuni and the mouth of the Ropotamo, offers ideal conditions for birdwatching or spotting a sand lily and other rare plants. Beyond the mouth of the Ropotamo, the road follows the meanders of the river to a pier where boat trips along the river are available.
