This imposing white granite structure was completed in 1923 and is one of the few Mormon temples in Canada. The Mormon doctrine is based on the Bible, The Book of Mormon and Joseph Smith's writings. In Canada church members number about 135,000 and are largely concentrated in Alberta, Ontario and British Columbia.
