The Quaker House : Michelin's recommendations

A short stroll from the ferry terminal, this heritage house is the sole survivor of 22 dwellings built for a group of Quaker whalers who moved to the province from New England in 1785. Its shingled exterior with paned windows is typical of the houses constructed along the coast from Massachusetts to Nova Scotia in the 18C. Note the framed walls, off-centre front door, exposed beams and narrow winding staircase.
