Christ Church Cathedral Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

This elegant stone church, distinguished by a copper-green spire and pointed arch windows, is surrounded by large, attractive, Loyalist-built frame houses and tall shade trees. Completed in 1853 the church, modelled after the parish church of St. Mary in Snettisham, Norfolk, is an example of decorated Gothic Revival architecture. The interior is dominated by a hammer-beam wooden pointed ceiling. At the entrance to the south transept stands a cenotaph with a marble effigy of the Rev. John Medley, the first bishop of Fredericton.
