Kingston Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

The lovely city of Kingston hugs the north shore of Lake Ontario at the point where the St. Lawrence River leaves the lake in a channel full of islands. This onetime capital of the Province of Canada owes its political and economic development to its location at the junction of he lake and the river. One of the main shipbuilding centres on the Great Lakes in the 19C, Kingston remains a water-focused city; it is widely-known today as a centre for water sports, especially sailing, windsurfing and river cruising.
