Fort Whoop-up Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Bibendum
Among all the illegal whisky trading counters that sprung up in southern Alberta and Saskatchewan in the 1870s, Fort Whoop-Up was the largest and most ill-famed. It was founded in 1869 by Americans from Fort Benton, Montana. A stockade and the flag of Fort Benton company now surround the recreated fort. The visitor's centre shows a film that situates the trading post in the context of western Canada at the time.
