The village contains several houses and shops, the Lochaber Presbyterian Church, a fire hall and an Orange Lodge-the social centre of the community. A Protestant fraternity founded in Ireland in 1795 and named for William III (of Orange), the Orange Order had considerable influence in the founding of Ontario. Costumed guides lend life to the village.
