Christ Church Cathedral Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

Topped by a single, slender spire and distinguished by its triple portico, ornate gables and gargoyles, this handsome edifice exemplifies the Gothic Revival style. The ivy-covered church preserves a graceful interior, embellished by magnificent stained-glass windows and a beautifully carved stone reredos. The capitals of the arcaded nave are decorated with leaves representing trees indigenous to Canada. Rising behind the church is a prominent landmark, the Place de la Cathédrale, formerly the Coopérants Building. Designed to be viewed in tandem with the church, the copper-coloured edifice features colonnades, pointed entrances, arched windows and a pitched roof.
