Western Development Museum Interesting : Michelin's recommendations

This one is devoted to transportation in Saskatchewan. The water section has displays about the Northcote, a steamship that used to take supplies up the South Saskatchewan River during the Northwest Rebellion, and on cable ferries, particularly those of the St.-Laurent. The railway gallery features a Canadian Pacific locomotive, a reconstructed train station and a 1934 Buick converted to run on rails and used as an inspection vehicle for 20 years. In addition there is an interesting collection of other automobiles. The air section presents several Canadian planes, including a 1927 Red Pheasant; a gallery devoted to the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan; and the Snowbird gallery, highlighting the history of this renowned aerobatics team.
