In summer this flat-topped island is home to North America's largest gannet colony, with some 60,000 birds. These large white seabirds nest in the crevices, cracks and ledges of the cliffs lining the island. A pleasant boat trip leads past Percé Rock and then around the island, affording superb views. In summer passengers can disembark on the island for a closer look at the birds and walk along the nature trails.
