Saint John Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

The province’s largest city, this industrial centre and port is fondly called “fog city” because of the dense sea mists that roll in off the Bay of Fundy. Its rocky, hilly site at the mouth of the Saint John River at the junction with the bay has resulted in a city with few straight roads. The historic district fronts Saint john Harbour; vast Rockwood Park, home to the zoo, lies at its backyard. Despite suffering a devastating fire in 1877, Saint John is an important repository of Canada’s 19C architectural heritage.
