A lighthouse beacon stands in front of the law court building that houses this museum. Of special interest are the Tilikum, a converted Indian dugout canoe that sailed from Victoria to England in the early 1900s, and the Trekka, a 6m/20ft sailing boat built in Victoria that sailed around the world from 1955 to 1959, the smallest boat ever to undertake such a voyage.
