Opened in 1968, this contemporary building houses a heritage gallery that traces the history of mountaineering and tourism in the Canadian Rockies, and art galleries featuring changing exhibits by regional and international artists. The museum sponsors tours of the on-site heritage homes and the archives are available at no extra charge for genealogical and other research.
