Time difference
There is a 7-hour time difference between Costa Rica and the UK and Ireland in summer and a 6-hour time difference in winter. When it is 12 noon in San José, it is 7pm in London and Dublin in summer and 6pm in winter.
Documents
A valid passport is required for stays of up to 90 days. A visa is required for longer stays.
Health
Recommended vaccinations: DT Polio, typhoid, hepatitis A and B.
Anti-malaria medication is recommended.
