The Laguna de Arenal (124km²) is a firm favourite with fishermen and windsurfers. Those who don't suffer from vertigo can make their way into the tropical forest via the suspension bridges or the Arenal aerial tram, from which you can enjoy breathtaking views over the lake and the Arenal Volcano that overlooks La Fortuna.
