The Parque Nacional Rincón de la Vieja (14 000ha) is most renowned for its grandiose volcanic area, Las Pailas, with its plethora of fumaroles, geysers, sulphur springs and craters, including that of the Rincón de la Vieja Volcano. Hikers should take care to stick to the waymarked trails!
