Church of St Mary of the Snow : Michelin's recommendations
This pilgrimage church, built in 1741, boasts an interior of extraordinary wealth. Volutes and stucco give way to medallions and trompe l'oeil painting adorned with pilasters and drapery (the work of a master craftsman, Ivan Ranger). The pulpit and altars are, for their part, the work of an artist from Graz, J. Shokotnig. The best view is from the tribune.

Pros
Une petite église de pèlerinage perdue dans la montagne 'au bout du monde' avec un intérieur en baroque exubérant... Certes ça mérite le détour (1 heure de route sinueuse, mal entretenue) mais certainement pas le voyage!
Cons
Deux étoiles certainement, mais trois??? Si Michelin a attribué juste deux étoiles à l'église de Wies en Bavière, celle de Belec n'est nullement mieux.
