Having experienced different historical development over the centuries, Mostar has remained the meeting place of cultures and religions with traces clearly visible today. During Turkish rule, the city of Mostar was developed on the banks of the river as an important trade center on caravan routes.
You will drive to Neum along the coast, then inland through the picturesque Neretva River Delta up to Mostar. Along the way, you will stop at the fortress-town of Pocitelj, a well-preserved example of oriental architecture perched on a hillside above the river.
You will then tour the old city of Mostar which was included in UNESCO's World Heritage List back in 2005. See its graceful Old Bridge with a single span, explore the colorful bazaar with its traditional handicrafts and go inside a typical Turkish house.
