This enchanting bay is almost closed in by an islet. It is reached by a picturesque road bordered by pine trees. Once there, savour the pleasant inns and the quayside, where sailing boats and local fishing boats are moored.

This deep bay is bordered by large flat rocks (near the red beacon). Still very quiet for the present, plans are afoot to turn it into a tourist centre and build a beach.

The old castle built under the Republic of Dubrovnik was destroyed in 1607 and replaced by a Napoleonic fort in 1808. It is now a weather station commanding a stunning view of the region.
