This museum has three beautiful archaeological exhibits, including the floor mosaic representing two cockerels, found in a 1C Roman villa, and the superb pergola, whose interlacing is characteristic of "early Croatian" art. On the second floor, devoted to the Roman era and High Middle Ages, admire the museum's pride and joy: a fragment of the mosaic from St Mary Formosa and an ivory chest adorned with beautifully carved Dionysian scenes (9C-11C).
