This sumptuous Flamboyant Gothic palace was designed in the 15C by George the Dalmatian for one of the richest families of Split (Papalic was a friend of the poet Marulic, deceased in 1524). Nothing is missing from the fine courtyard, well, carved outer staircase and loggia to the finely carved main window. The edifice is now home to the town museum and its collections of stones, old weapons, statutes of the city and the works of Emanuel Vidovic, a 20C painter born in Split.
