This attractive medieval fortified village was in former times the main military command post of the Venetians in Istria. Many picturesque details (pillory in the main square, small loggias, etc.) can be seen as you stroll around its lanes and 14C and 15C ramparts. The lovely old houses, many of which are decked in flowers and its paved streets are full of charm.
