The building of this cathedral lasted from the early 13C to the early 17C. The western portico, the sanctuary's pride and joy, was carved in 1240. Inside, the nave is surprisingly dark. Look out for the late 13C octagonal pulpit and the large painted crucifix (1440). As you walk round, you also come upon the 15C chapel of John of Trogir. Stop at the treasure, hidden inside magnificent closets, and at the baptistery. The campanile commands a fine panorama over Trogir.
