Vukovar : Michelin's recommendations

Located on the Danube at the confluence of the Vuka, the martyr city of Vukovar, which like Guernica has become a symbol of the folly of man, is no longer in ruins: a reconstruction programme is gradually restoring it to its former glory. Its most important buildings have been renovated, new ones have been built and cultural life has picked up again. Visitors mainly head to Vukovar to pay tribute to its inhabitants, with the hope that one day they will be able to put the horror behind them.
