Zadar : Michelin's recommendations

This old fortified city is flanked by the sea on three sides. Within its walls are countless treasures and memories of two millenniums of history, from the Roman forum and Baroque treasures to delightful Romanesque churches such as St Donat's and a good part of the fortifications. It was of course not spared by wars, but its inhabitants' genuine love of life makes this resort town highly pleasant.
