This 1573 church is part of the 16C ramparts. On the side facing the town, it has incorporated the remnants of a Roman triumphal arch, topped by a Renaissance pediment and an equestrian statue of St Chrysogonus. On the side facing the port, it is decorated with Venetian coats of arms. Staircases lead up to the ramparts, now occupied by a street. Inside the ramparts, to the right before you reach the gate, is the town museum, displaying models of Zadar through the ages.
