One of the best museums in Croatia. The Gothic and Romanesque collections on the first floor include the 11C cylindrical reliquary of St James, the 12C arm reliquary of St Isidore, the little Cika Cross (Palestine, 7C-8C) as well as the 13C icons of the Virgin and Child. On the second floor (late Gothic to Baroque), don’t miss the ten multicoloured wooden statues of saints which graced the cathedral chancel wall (1426-31), and the 15C polyptych by Vittore Carpaccio. Lapidary exhibits are displayed on the ground floor.
