The first floor houses works by 19C artists: large formats, Italian landscapes, portraits and a few busts illustrating sculpture of the era, followed by the development of Symbolism. The 20C section is rich in splendid portraits and winter landscapes. The visit continues on the second floor with Naïve painters, and photographs depicting scenes of daily life and urban poverty. A quest for light and colour marked the 1930s, after which come Abstract works of art by a host of artists from the 1950s and 1960s. The last room is devoted to contemporary art.
