Museum of Croatian Naïve Art Recommended Recommended : Michelin's recommendations

80 works representing Croatian naïve art between 1930 and 1990, including the famous Hlebine School, are displayed here. The early works of Ivan Generalic (1914-1992), the leading light of this school, are driven by social concerns. Others from this first generation include Marko Virius, Franjo Mraz, Lavoslav Torti and Petar Smajic; the second generation featured Ivan Vecenaj and Mijo Kovacic. The collection is enhanced by independent works by the artist Ivan Rabuzin and a number of foreign artists such as the Pole Nikifor and the Bosnian Sofija Naletilic-Penavusa.
