Lined with Baroque and Classical palaces, this is one of the most charming streets in Gradec. The left side (nos 20-22) is flanked by the former Clares convent, which today houses the Zagreb City Museum. At nº 18, the People’s House (1838) boasts a spectacular façade. Note the Institute of Croatian History a little further on at nº 10, with its superb wrought-iron railings. Its Gilded Room is decorated with frescoes and sculptures by some of Croatia’s most distinguished artists.
