This pilgrim church was built in 1750 by a local architect, Josip Javonik. Set within an octagonal wall dotted with circular towers topped with onion domes, it hides a staggering Baroque décor, leading the visitor on a bewildering visit of cherubs, stucco and trompe l'oeil. Take the time to study the gallery, the two vaults painted by A. Lerchinger and the altars which are home to a large population of saints, all of whom wear expressions of exuberant piety.
