About 1km beyond Rogotin and the bridge across the Neretva, take a narrow road to the left. The river flows by on the right, with vast stretches of fruit orchards and vegetable gardens occupying the delta on the left. After the sleepy fishing village of Blace, the road rises above the delta. At the foot of the cliffs, the villages are arranged around the waterways, which serve as streets. As you explore further, the geometrical layout of the plots becomes clearer, radiating outwards from around the rocky promontories.
