This striking little square (19C) has bewitched numerous Cuban film makers with its low colourful houses and attractive paving. At its centre stand life-size contemporary sculptures representing street vendors and other rapidly disappearing trades. The church of Carmen is noteworthy on account of its twin bell tower exuding a spirit of proud elegance.
