Holguín : Michelin's recommendations

Holguin does not differ much from many Cuban towns, but it has become renowned on account of the numerous cultural events it hosts. The festival de Cine Pobre (film festival), les Romerias de Mayo (arts festival), its carnaval and the Semana de la Cultura Iberoamericana (cultural festival), to name but a few, are major events drawing huge crowds. Outside of festival season, town life centres on the Parque Calixto García and the Parque de las Flores.
