Manzanillo : Michelin's recommendations

Manzanillo’s symbol is its marvellous bandstand in the Andalucian style, sited in Parque Céspedes, underscoring the fact that this is a city of music. It was here that barrel organs, imported from France in the 19C, became incorporated into Cuban music, popularising the sentimental nueva trova movement. This seafront town also echoes to the sound of the waves as they wash onto a shoreline where tourists are a rarity; Manzanillo remains off the beaten track.
