With a capacity of 1 020 million m3, this man-made lake is Cuba’s largest freshwater reservoir, but in spring, before the onset of the rainy season, it is virtually bone-dry. Outside this period, it is an ideal fishing spot that teems with trout. The surrounding woodlands also offer shooting.
