On the slopes of a hillside descending towards the bay, this district has a laid-back ambience. Workshops abound, their activities spilling out onto the street at the foot of houses with bright façades. Stroll along Calle Padre Pico, one of the most unspoilt streets in the district, which becomes a set of steps at its steepest point. At the top, the Museo de la Lucha Clandestina recalls the struggle against Batista. End the day at the Casa de las Tradiciones and soak up its traditional music.
