Built in 1801, this residence is today the Museo de Arqueología Guamuhaya. Guamuhaya is the original name of the mountain range more commonly known as the “Sierra del Escambray”. The museum primarily deals with the pre-Coloumbian period with displays of tools made from shells, jewellery, human skeletons and a ceramics collection.
