The multi-storey bridge comprises a separate passage which leads to the extraordinarily well-preserved Baroque theatre. Erected in 1680 for Prince Johann Christian, the last of the Eggenberg family, it was reworked in 1766. The auditorium has remained intact, including the scenery, lighting, costumes and archives, providing a fully authentic setting for occasional performances of Baroque operas.
