Bahoruco is a sleepy, welcoming fishing village. Its only street, lined by characteristic wooden houses, is home to fried fish booths and stalls selling larimar jewellery. Along the seafront, fishing boats pulled up on the beach rub shoulders with surfboards, indicative of its dual lifestyle.
