Bonao : Michelin's recommendations

Bonao, prettily nicknamed the "hortensia town", is the capital of the province of Monseñor Nouel. Renowned for its pottery, it is a prosperous little town surrounded by rice paddies, orchards and meadows. The surrounding mountains withhold iron, nickel and silver deposits. Bonao is an old town: its first fort was built in 1493 at the request of Christopher Columbus.
