The beaches of El Cortecito and Bávaro merge into each other along the coast. El Cortecito is the only site along the Coconut Coast that is home to an authentic fishing village. However its position wedged between hotel resorts means that it is very touristy. After sunset, the village empties slightly and the atmosphere becomes more local.
