Start with a visit to the famous Brugal Rum Factory—one of the largest producers of sugar cane rum in the world, and then head to the 16th century San Felipe Fort built by Spaniards. Now a National Monument, this fortification used to protect the port from pirates. Admire the Victorian-style architecture in Central Park, such as the splendid Amber Museum with its collection of precious stones, and enjoy some free time sightseeing or shopping for original souvenirs that will delight your friends and family back home.
The tour ends with a breathtaking cable car ride to the Loma Isabel de Torres, situated at 2,600 feet (812 meters) above sea level and offering wonderful panoramic city views.
